Climate activists derail Exxon, but will it make a difference?

Less than a decade ago, Exxon was the world’s most valuable company and the poster child for the fossil fuels industry. But lately, it has been in a bit of a spot. It got kicked out of the Dow Jones Industrial Average index after 92 years. Its credit rating was downgraded. And it faced a probe from the US Securities and Exchange Commission over allegations of inflating the valuation of oil and gas assets.
