Centuries after they were invented, mechanical watches are still an incredible demonstration of fine human engineering and ingenuity. The “simple” tasks of showing time is performed behind-the-scenes by an extremely complex set of tightly entwined gears, springs and wheels called the movement or caliber.
Much like The Ken.
For every story, newsletter and podcast produced by our journalists each day for our subscribers, there’s a complex behind-the-scenes movement comprising our colleagues who connect together code, design, apps and thoughtful subscriber experiences. They are our caliber.
And we’re thrilled to add two new colleagues to that caliber.
The first is Chiranth Jayaram, who joins us as a Sales & Partnerships Manager. Before joining The Ken, Chiranth spent nearly 3 years working for edtech unicorn Byju’s, where he was a business development manager.

Chiranth
Chiranth has an engineering degree from Karnataka’s Visvesvaraya Technological University. He is also an ultimate frisbee lover, having played it competitively at the regional levels. He also managed to sneak past us on his resume that he has a “Ph.D” in memes.
At The Ken, Chiranth will help expand our journalism to more corporate and institutional subscribers and partners.
The second colleague who joins us is Aditya Agarwal, who joins us as a Product Analyst from Sprinklr, a customer experience management company. Before Sprinklr, Aditya spent close to 2 years with VMWare.

Aditya
Aditya, who is from Jaipur, holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s in economics from BITS Pilani. He’s deeply interested in economics and history, and once wrote a paper on Mahatma Gandhi’s Salt March that he’s quite proud of. He’s currently also fostering Smokey, a cat.
At The Ken, Aditya will help us understand better what our subscribers need and want, and also then help build and improve products that make them happier.
Both Chiranth and Aditya can be reached by their respective first names @the-ken.com on email.
