Can I subscribe or renew my subscriptions to The Ken on the app?
Sorry, but we don’t allow for subscription purchases on the app. We know that’s not ideal. Please use our website to subscribe instead. We ensure that we maintain a quick and easy purchase experience there.
I’m unable to log in to the app
The app is a feature of our premium subscription to The Ken India or The Ken Southeast Asia. If you’re on the free plan or on one of our newsletter plans, you can’t access the app yet.
If you have a premium subscription and aren’t able to access the app, please ensure that you’re using your subscription email to log in and not any other email.
If you’re unable to log in even using that, please drop us a note at [email protected] and we’ll solve it for you.
Why should I install the app?
The app is the best way to read The Ken. Not only will you find all of our products—stories, narratives, newsletters—in one place, you’ll discover our stories that you’ve missed but will love. But that’s not it. There’s much more:
1. Our home screen offers you recommendations based on editorial insight, your past reads, and the behaviour of The Ken’s community.
2. You can personalise your reading experience in ways you can’t on the website. With dark mode, custom font sizes and reader settings
3. With push notifications, you’ll never miss a story from us
4. You can save stories and download them for reading later. During a commute, inflight, or wherever you go.
How many devices can I install the app on?
You can log in to the app on only 1 device at a time (along with 2 simultaneous sessions on the web browser). We understand that this can be less than ideal for certain power users. But this helps us prevent abuse with multiple users sharing a subscription.
In case you’d like multiple users in a company to access The Ken, you can pick our corporate plan for any number of users. Each user will have access to the app individually.
Can I save stories offline?
Yes, you can save stories and download them to your app by clicking the bookmark icon.
I created a gift link but did not send it. Can I get my gift credit back?
You can copy and re-send any gift links that have not been claimed yet. Just head over to your account section and look for your created gift links under the Gifting section.
Does the app work on iPad or tablets?
We’re building the iPad app and will launch that soon. In the meantime, please use our website which should work well on iPads and tablets.
Write to us at [email protected] and we’ll help you out!
