Good morning [%first_name |Dear Reader%],

It’s been a little over a year since I began writing Green Margins. With a subject as vast (and as non-glamorous) as climate change, I was a little unsure if this newsletter would find its readers. I chose to exercise my editorial license in picking the topics, one edition at a time.  

As I head into my first break in over a year, though, I’m happy to say that Green Margins has somewhat found its early readership. Over these months, many of you have weighed in sharply and wisely, sometimes with compliments and sometimes with complaints. I’ve cherished them all. 

There’s no edition of Green Margins this week. I am taking a week off to spend time with my old parents. I’ll try my best to live in the moment, be a good listener, and refrain from thinking of the next The Ken story. 

If you’ve been a regular reader of this newsletter, then you deserve a break too.
