Patricia Ranieta is sitting on a deep navy blue couch. There’s a lamp and a side table with a potted plant next to the couch, and a shaggy, cream-coloured rug on the floor. It would have looked like a chic living room if not for nail polish bottles and other beauty products lined up on a floating shelf above the couch.
Ranieta, who goes by Rani, is the host of Beauty Files, an hour-long show that aired on Z-Live, the new livestreaming channel of Southeast Asia’s fashion-focused e-commerce platform Zalora, in June. It was among the 15 shows that aired in the opening week of Z-Live across three of Zalora’s main markets—Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines.
