Businesses across the world are scrambling to handle the impact of the Covid-19 virus. Sales figures have dropped off cliffs, employees are retrenched, and business models are torn up due to quarantining, mass isolation and the global shift to working from home.

But one sector seems to be a beneficiary of this international crisis—food delivery. Delivery app Uber Eats saw a 10% weekly spike on orders in the US as a result of mass quarantines, according to a report a report The Information Uber Eats’ U.S.
