One of Southeast Asia’s largest tech investors just got even larger.
Sequoia Capital India—which operates funds that invest across India and Southeast Asia—closed US$1.35 billion in new capital earlier this month via a US$550 million venture capital fund and a US$850 million growth fund.
This fund raise was significant for multiple reasons.
This is the first time that Sequoia India has raised over a billion dollars for deals in India and Southeast Asia. It’s the firm’s first growth fund for this region.
