The headlines first appeared in mid-August. Noice, an Indonesian podcast platform, dipped into Google’s talent pool to hire two new C-level executives.
Rado Ardian and Niken Sasmaya, who spent nine and 10 years at Google in various roles, have joined Noice as chief executive officer and chief business officer respectively.
The two high-level appointments were barely out of the news cycle when Noice announced in early September that it had raised a “seven-figure” pre-series A round. The funding round was co-led by Indonesia-focused venture capital firm Alpha JWC and super app Gojek’s investment arm Go-Ventures.
