Good morning [%first_name |Dear Reader%],
Welcome to this week’s edition of Tokenised.
While crypto’s critics think of the sector as ponzinomics wrapped in techno-babble, its cheerleaders like to tout it as sound money and the foundation of future global finance.
The turmoil of the last few weeks, however, has led to much soul searching in the latter group. So my recent conversations with executives in the space have naturally been of a similar bent. It’s made me think of a few critical issues I think crypto will need to address if it hopes to evolve into something more than just a liquidity sponge.
So that’s what we’re looking at in this week’s edition. But before we jump in, a small programming note: Tokenised will be off next week since I am travelling for the next few days. Next edition lands on 13 July.
