Understanding the media’s love for crypto
Here’s a reality check.
Beyond a few niche financial use cases and pure speculation, I think crypto-assets are yet to establish an economic use case for themselves.
And while a significant amount of venture capital, institutional, and retail money has poured into such assets, their market capitalisation remains miniscule when compared with traditional assets such as real estate, gold, or equity.
So then why is it that crypto is able to make so much noise and attract millions of eyeballs?
