Restaurants take control as Zomato Gold loses Midas touch

Hey Sanket, yes, the number does seem a bit strange. This is actually the company's claim: https://www.zomato.com/blog/finding-gold. However, it should be noted that not all 180,000 members at that point would be Indian. In fact, the program first launched in March 2017 in the UAE, with rates starting at close to Rs 1,800 (for a three month pack). The longer term packs would be considerably more expensive. That might account for the revenue contribution Zomato claims. Hope this helps, Regards, Ranjan

Glasses on, Lenskart takes a closer look at rural India

Hi, Thanks for writing in. I agree that the inputs of organisations working to provide eyecare in underserved markets is essential to this piece. This is why we reached out to Kiran Anandampillai, whose organisation Drishti Eyecare has served close to 5 lakh people in underserved areas. His thoughts and inputs are reflected throughout the piece. While I agree there could probably have been even more from other organisations, we wanted to keep the focus on Lenskart as far as possible. Cheers, Ranjan
